The Tempest is unique in design. Over the years the specification and performance of hot water extraction machines has increased. This has also increased the size and weight of the machines to what we think is unmanageable for many people.
Some machines weigh well in excess of 65kg and some manufacturers avoid telling the true weight.
The Tempest Recovery Tank weighs only 28kg and the Supply Tank only 24kg.
That is the reason we have developed the two part design which means each unit is much easier to lift and handle.
This machine can be easily carried upstairs by one person.
With competitors’ larger machines it is often necessary to run very long hose lengths as the equipment can’t be manoeuvred to the location of the job. Long hose lengths means a decrease in vacuum pressure and heat at the tool end. With the Tempest you can always get the machine to the job meaning shorter and more efficient hose lengths.
Performance on site is better than performance in the street.
The Tempest can run long hoses to 150ft if required.

Casing made of marine grade G.R.P. which has a higher strength to weight ratio than moulded polyethylene machines. Unlike plastic machines the Tempest has a high gloss finish that can be easily cleaned and polished to keep its appearance in as new condition for many years.
Twin genuine AMETEK vacuum motors (1 x 6.6″/1600W High Airflow and 1 x 5.7″/1200W high vacuum 3 stage) mounted in series or parallel. (Series recommended)
Vac motors are powered by our unique dedicated soft start modules that gradually feed power to the motors over a 5 second period. This means less stress for the motors giving longer working life. Another advantage is there is no power surge on start up. Note soft starts are different from delay starts fitted on some machines which hold the power back for 5 seconds and then start the motor manually but still giving all the stress and surge of a normally switched motor.
220psi diaphragm pump with electronic variable pressure control. Compact and lightweight it’s the ideal choice. This pump can handle water temperature to 75degrees and is extremely chemical resistant in comparison to piston pumps which have a temperature limit of 60degrees and are very chemical sensitive. Some manufacturers advise not to allow any chemicals through the pump at all meaning that all jobs have to be completely pre-sprayed with the cleaning solution before commencing the clean.
Immersion type 3kw with double overheat protection. No more worries about running the tank dry and burning out the element. Large size element for low watts density means a long life. Fully thermostatically controlled.
Never been seen before, adds almost no weight to the machine. This totally unique system means you can fill up the tank with cold water and start to clean with hot in 5 minutes.
The Tempest has built in noise suppression material and specially constructed silencing box to dramatically reduce the unwelcoming loud nature of of a carpet cleaning machine. Talk to your customers without switching the machine off.
The auto feed system can draw water from a separate holding tank e.g. in a van mounted situation. This does not require an external pump and is set up in seconds.
For those who prefer to leave the machine outside the door, we have used waterproof switches to make the Tempest fully showerproof.
For full control from a distance together with the automatic emptying of waste water, leave the recovery tank outside to auto empty and get on with the job faster.
Clever compact design gives large capacity for its size. The supply tank is a full 52 litres with recovery being 45 litres.
A built in feature now means that the operator can use the machine instead of a separate sprayer to apply any chemical onto the carpet. Pressure is electronically variable. A simple flip of a lever changes the machine to this function.
Auto fill of the supply tank is available. This system connects to a mains water supply and means no bucket filling for a faster job.
